BCT~ANTHOLOGY~REVIEW

~WELCOME READERS~

Thanks for stopping by for another BCT. This week we are doing what I guess you could call a theme review.

Although we are each reading an Anthology, we each have chosen our own book.

As some of you may or may not know, I kind of don't always follow the rules here on BCT.  I try, but I tend to bend them a bit to help myself out (yes, that laughing you hear is me).

I don't necessarily mean to but since I have moved away somewhat from strictly reading the Romance Genre, I find myself in a jam lots of times. However, first and foremost I am a book lover. I always enjoy finding new authors and types of books and enjoy scoping out what others are reading.

But I've gone off topic some. Yes, I'm distracting you, so let's get down to it~

ABOUT THE BOOK~

EIGHT PASSIONATE LOVE STORIES ABOUT AMAZING MILITARY HEROES BY BESTSELLING AUTHORS:
Suzanne Brockmann, Julie Ann Walker, Catherine Mann, Tina Wainscott, Anne Elizabeth, M.L. Buchman, Kate SeRine, Lea Griffith
To honor and empower those who've served, all author and publisher proceeds go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT

MY TWO CENTS~

Although the eight romance stories in this Military Themed  Anthology are part of existing series or new series most can still stand alone. I'm not always a huge fan of this type of story line but these authors, for the most part, do a stellar job of handling some pretty heavy duty stuff.

What I liked was how many of the stories talked about ALL the types of wounds our Military Warriors bear (and some authors even touch on the Wounded Warrior Project). The heat and action levels do vary and there is plenty of variety in this mix concerning styles and plot lines. There is the fun and sexy mixed in with the heartbreaking emotional stuff too.

Since there are eight stories, I'm not going to touch on all of them. However my two favorites were Hot as Hell by Julie Ann Walker (Deep Six Series #.5)which is loosely connected to Black Knights Inc) and Torn (Protect and Serve Series #.5) by Kate Serine.

Ms. Walker is one of my favorite RS writers. She just gets it. She always strikes a perfect balance with her humor, heat and action. In this novella, we have a group of soon to retire Navy Seals that are on their last mission~ rescue a woman and an US Ambassador.

I've never read Ms. Serine before and overall I enjoyed this novella that appears to be kicking off a series that will focus on Joe and his brothers. I enjoyed this friends to lovers story with a stalker thrown in and I would read the next the book in this series.

Finally, I'm not saying the other stories weren't good (in more than one case, I just wasn't a fan) but I'd rather you buy the book yourself (especially since it's for such a worthy cause).

~HAPPY READING~
