BOOK CLUB THURSDAY-REVIEW-RECIPE FOR KISSES-MICHELLE MAJOR

WELCOME BOOK LOVERS

It's another Thursday. Typically at this point in our Thursday line-up on Book Club Thursday (BCT) we would be doing a Catching Up On Author. However, a few times this year we (me and my best friends/your BCT Bloggers) will be doing a review of a book chosen by one of us. And don't forget that you can find out more about us and BCT by visiting the Pages at the top of my Blog.

So without further ado (to do?  LOL)...

Up first is Ann's(Romancing the Readers) pick.

Chloe Daniels doesn’t need a man—after escaping a marriage gone bad, she guards her heart as closely as the details of her past. So when hot-tempered celebrity chef Ben “the Beast” Haddox storms into her struggling toy store, Chloe is determined not to be drawn in by his broad shoulders…or baby-blue eyes.
In his hometown, Ben’s culinary career is almost as famous as his bad-boy rep. He’s out to prove to naysayers he’s a success by opening a new restaurant—and the only thing standing in his way is Chloe’s store. But before he has a chance to convert her space into his signature eatery, she cooks up a plan to show him that her shop is worth saving.
As things start to sizzle between them, Chloe must figure out how to avoid getting burned. Can she trust herself to love again, or has she jumped out of the frying pan and into desire?

I love books with a cooking/baking theme for so many reasons and now I can include Recipe for Kisses in my list.

Although this was fairly predictable, it was an enjoyable, quick read. However, it was a bit over the top sometimes but it was all in good fun.

I also found this book had many things I like: great characters, plenty of wit, chemistry, and warmth(not the same thing as chemistry).

I also enjoy books where at least one of the characters have growth-it's not always easy or believable to write but Ms. Major did it . I'm also a sucker for what I call "wager" romances- another thing that's not always easy to do but again,Ms. Major did it. She also handled a very serious subject-domestic violence- in a thoughtful manner.

So...Pardon my pun here...Recipe for Kisses had all the right ingredients! I'm ate this book up! One more...nah...just Order a copy, it will fill you right up (ugh, I couldn't resist)

I'm a fan and plan to read more books by Ms. Major.
