I'm talking about kick off book titles in some very long running and wildly popular series (for simplicity, I've included about the book and buy links under each title)

Of the five series I've chosen to spotlight above (and believe me once I started picking series it was hard to stop - I left so many others out!), I am caught up on only two of them ( JR Ward- I'm currently reading The Chosen which was released...you guessed it 4/4 and the Kresley Cole - the newest just released on 2/28 with the next title on 4/25 ).
I'm almost caught up on the Kenyon titles- I'm about four behind? Can't say why I let myself get behind, I think I was I just was interested in other paranormal titles.
The JD Robb- of the 44 or so (full length titles), I've read about (barely) half. I think I was tired of the same ole same ole (does that make sense?)
The Catherine Coulter - I've read only a handful of the ( not sure how many 20 plus?) titles. No clue why I never continued.
So I'm wondering when, in your opinion has a series gotten too long?
Are there any out there that should END?
On the flip side, maybe there is a series that ended too soon and you wanted more?
