book club thursday - thursday rewind-golden oldie

Welcome Readers

My name is Cyn and each week we (me and my BFF Ann from  Romancing the Readers) blog all about books and book related topics on something we call Book Club Thursday(BCT).  Learn more about me and BCT here

Our feature today is:

So - what's a Golden Oldie?

It's a book we have chosen to revisit that we consider an old favorite. Today's pick is was chosen by Ann from Romancing the Readers.

Acclaimed for her novels of “delectably entertaining paranormal romantic suspense” (Booklist), the wildly popular alter ego of bestselling author Jayne Ann Krentz takes off on a star-dusted excursion to a rich civilization where danger and passion are just a heartbeat away. . . .Amaryllis Lark is one of the best psychic detectives on St. Helen’s, the earth colony recently cut off from the mother planet, yet not so very different from home. . . . Lucas Trent, the rugged head of Lodestar Exploration, isn’t keen on the prim type—and from her crisp business suit to her cool evaluation of his request to bust a corporate thief, beautiful Amaryllis is excruciatingly proper. But when a bold hunch heats up into a twisting murder investigation, by-the-book Amaryllis must let her guard down and break some rules—and a red-hot love affair ignites. Now, as they race to solve a puzzle of deadly intrigue, no power—otherworldly or otherwise—can keep them apart!

Not so much as a real review - as we are just doing a "revisit".

I couldn't find my copy for a skim/re-read so I am relying on my memory - so if it's faulty OOPS- LOL.

What I remember the about this book was how excited I was to have a futuristic romance from Jayne Ann Krentz (romance/romantic suspense) AKA Jayne Castle also AKA Amanda Quick (historical romance).

If I'm not mistaken we got to meet a dust bunny here for the first time?

And although not precisely set in Harmony it does kick off the whole world of behind "The Curtain".

I recall really liking the characters- trademark more closer to Amanda Quick in terms of wit and plotting even.

On a fun note, although the current cover/updated cover is SEXY, I prefer the old school original one, what do you think?

I'd love to hear your thoughts about this book or about your favorite one by Ms Castle. This year, I hope to read/get caught up these books.
