on my radar

Welcome Book Lovers

That sounds better than book haters now doesn't?  LOL

Anyway - each Tuesday I'll be featuring a book (or more) that has caught my eye or is "on my radar" as in: maybe I'll buy or maybe I won't. Most books are released on Tuesday, so most of my picks are released the same day I'm posting this blog (if not - I'll let you know).

As always, I'd love to hear what books are on your must buy list for the week or what thoughts you have about my choices.

I am featuring two books today, April 3rd.

I dig this author, even though I'm not caught up on her last series!

Haven't grabbed this one yet but probably will next time I'm out and about.

Ultra wealthy and super powerful, the King family is like royalty in Texas. But who will keep the throne? New York Times bestselling author Katee Robert introduces a red-hot new series.

THE MAN SHE HATES TO LOVE

Beckett King just inherited his father's fortune, his company-and all his enemies. If he's going to stay on top, he needs someone he can trust beside him. And though they've been rivals for years, there's no one he trusts more than Samara Mallick.

The rebel. That's how Samara has always thought of Beckett. And he's absolutely living up to his unpredictable ways when he strides into her office and asks for help. She can't help wondering if it's a legit request or just a ploy to get her into bed. Not that she'd mind either one. After all, she likes to live on the edge too.

But soon the threats to the King empire are mounting, and the two find family secrets darker than they ever imagined and dangerous enough to get them both killed.

This cover caught my eye first and when I read what it was about, I was hooked.  I pre-ordered it and can't wait to read it.

An exploration of domestic derangement, as sinister as Daphne Du Maurier’s classic Rebecca, that plumbs the depths of sibling rivalry with wit and menace.

Oh, to be a Beloved—one of those lucky people for whom nothing ever goes wrong. Everything falls into their laps without effort: happiness, beauty, good fortune, allure.

Betty Stash is not a Beloved—but her little sister, the delightful Gloria, is. She’s the one with the golden curls and sunny disposition and captivating smile, the one whose best friend used to be Betty’s, the one whose husband should have been Betty’s. And then, to everyone’s surprise, Gloria inherits the family manse—a vast, gorgeous pile of ancient stone, imposing timbers, and lush gardens—that was never meant to be hers.

Losing what Betty considers her rightful inheritance is the final indignity. As she single-mindedly pursues her plan to see the estate returned to her in all its glory, her determined and increasingly unhinged behavior—aided by poisonous mushrooms, talking walls, and a phantom dog—escalates to the point of no return. The Beloveds will have you wondering if there’s a length to which an envious sister won’t go.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to stop by my next on my radar on April 10 -hint hint- it's JR WARD
