The Second Chance Cafe

The Second Chance Cafe               I hate to say this, but if I've ever read a book before by Alison Kent, I don't recall it. That will not  be the case with The Second Chance Cafe. This book will stick with you long after you've turned the last page.

This is the first book in her Hope Springs Series. The Second Chance Cafe is an emotional read about second chances which applies to many of the characters in this book. There are loose ends not addressed in this book, and I can only hope that they are resolved and/or explained in the upcoming Beneath the Patchwork Moon (Luna's story).

This book deals with Kaylie Flynn who returns to town after buying the house where she grew up with her now deceased foster parents. She has big plans for putting a cafe in the home and enlists local contractor Tennessee Keller to help her. She's got plenty of memories and past to deal with and Ten does too.

I enjoyed this well written novel which I think will appeal to fans of Lisa Kleypas' most recent series (Friday Harbor).

Take a chance on this book, you won't be sorry.
