story filled with wit, fun, and extra-spicy romance. This is the perfect
follow-up to Big Girl Panties and undoubtedly a great choice for summer reading.
MY REVIEW:
If you take a peek at my side bar, you'll see that Ms. Evanovich's first book Big Girl Panties is listed as one of my all time favorites(I even blogged about it).
So I was thrilled to read an e-ARC(generously provided by the publisher from Edelweiss) of The Sweet Spot as part of this Tasty Book Tour.
I was easily drawn into this book. I love the writing style, humor, chemistry and characters. I found this to be romantic - Chase's totally smitten with Amanda even if she can't quite believe it at first.
HOWEVER
I was annoyed that Amanda(at least until Amanda shifted her thinking) felt both her and Chase were flawed/imperfect because of the spanking etc. And I felt sometimes that subject matter was dealt with awkwardly and a bit inconsistently(although maybe it's my own light knowledge of the subject matter). When I read BGP, I felt that Chase's and Amanda's appearances there (and the subsequent spanking dom/sub etc behavior) felt out of place and thrown in. In The Sweet Spot (for the most part) it works.
All in all, I did LOVE The Sweet Spot. And look forward to more books by Ms. Evanovich.

Evanovich is a full-fledged Jersey girl from Asbury Park who began writing
fiction while waiting for her cues during countless community theater projects.
