BOOK CLUB THURSDAY~BACK IN TIME!

WELCOME BACK READERS~

This week we are back to another theme week~

BACK IN TIME!

We are talking about historical romances. I'm pretty picky about my HR. I don't want to be bored or feel like I'm being lectured when I read my HR. If an author needs footnotes, um no thanks, I think I'll pass.

Now that's not to say I don't mind learning something but entertain me too please. And because it's FICTION, I don't mind (not to mention I probably wouldn't know) if someone has zippers when they shouldn't or if they talk more modern then they should.

I'm only going to mention a small handful of my favorite HR authors and some of my favorite books by them~

ABOUT THE BOOK~

The Raider
In colonial New England, the British are hunting a fearless, masked patriot whose daring foils them at every turn. He's known simply as the Raider.

Jessica Taggert, a proud-tempered beauty, thrills to the Raider's scorching midnight embrace, but despises Alexander Montgomery, the drunken town buffoon.

In truth, the cleverly disguised Montgomery lives two lives...and only his triumph over the hated Redcoats will free him, at last, to know the full pleasure of Jessica's love.

ABOUT THE BOOK~

From the cozy confines of a tiny seaside village to the glittering crush of a fashionable London soiree comes an enthralling tale of a thoroughly mismatched couple…poised to discover the rapture of love.
There was no doubt about it. What Miss Harriet Pomeroy needed was a man. Someone powerful and clever who could help her rout the unscrupulous thieves who were using her beloved caves to hide their loot. But when Harriet summoned Gideon Westbrook, Viscount St. Justin, to her aid, she could not know that she was summoning the devil himself…
Dubbed the Beast of Blackthorne Hall for his scarred face and lecherous past, Gideon was strong and fierce and notoriously menacing. Yet Harriet could not find it in her heart to fear him. For in his tawny gaze she sensed a savage pain she longed to soothe…and a searing passion she yearned to answer. Now caught up in the beast’s clutches, Harriet must find a way to win his hear—and evade the deadly trap of a scheming villain who would see them parted for all time.

ABOUT THE BOOK~

He’s always been a player.
Dashing Lord Harry Traemore is perfectly content to live out his days in the pursuit of pleasure. But when he’s named by the Prince Regent as one of society’s “Impossible Bachelors,” Harry is drafted into a ribald romantic wager. The rules of engagement are scandalously simple: The bachelor whose mistress wins the title of “Most Delectable Companion” gets to remain unmarried. Harry is utterly unconcerned about his status…until his latest lightskirt abandons him.

Who will win this game of love?
Enter Lady Molly Fairbanks. Harry’s childhood friend—actually, “foe” is more like it—is the most unlikely companion of all. She’s attractive but hot-headed, and in no mood for games. Besides, what could the self-indulgent Harry possibly know about what makes a woman delectable? It’s time for Molly to teach him a lesson once and for all…but will it lead to “happily ever after?”
