saturday scoop~sherrilyn kenyon

Welcome Book Lovers

That sounds so much better than book haters doesn't it!  LOL

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my "scoop" (I'm all about the short sweet spoiler free style of reviewing) about a book I've read.

I'd love to hear your thoughts or comments, if you have any, about this novel. I'd also love to hear about your favorite novel by this author (if there is/you have one).

There is nothing in the universe the cursed dragon Falcyn hates more than humans—except for Greek humans. In a war he wanted no part in, they systematically destroyed everything Falcyn ever cared about. Now he lies in wait for the day when evolution will finally rid him of not only the Greeks but humanity itself.
Medea is the granddaughter of the Greek god Apollo and among the first he doomed to die. When Apollo sends a new plague to destroy what remains of Medea’s people, she refuses to let him take everything she loves from her again. This time, she knows of a secret weapon—a fierce dragon who has the power to stop the ancient god and his army of demons. His name is Falcyn. But he wants nothing to do with politics, gods, mortals. And especially not her—yet. But if Medea can find a way to control a demonic dragon whose sole birthright is world annihilation, maybe there is hope. . .

Oh thank heavens!

Finally!

I really enjoyed this book - it was my favorite of the three "dragon" titles. You may or may not recall from prior my reviews- but I felt the first two were just about the same book.

And I really really hope Ms Kenyon delivers future titles about two of the other dragons we have gotten to know.

I'm off topic - but just know, Dragonsworn is filled with Kenyon's  trademark snark and intrigue that was kind of lacking, at least in my opinion, in the last two books.

Although I did feel a few minor things were not completely resolved that should have been as they related to Falcyn and Medea, I was otherwise okay with the cliffhanger flavored ending - also a trend in many of Kenyon's more recent novels.

Despite being 20 plus books into this series, it still manages to pack a punch, hold my interest and  have me wondering what's next... it's Stygian; Urian's story that weighs in at about 650 pages and it come out about a month ago... but after that...
