For Rose Enright, enrolling in a prestigious New England boarding school is the opportunity of a lifetime. But for Rose’s vulnerable twin sister Bel, Odell Academy is a place of temptation and danger. When Bel falls in with a crowd of wild rich kids who pressure her into hazing Rose, the sisters’ relationship is shattered. Rose turns to her dorm mother, Sarah Donovan, for advice. But Bel turns to Sarah’s husband Heath, a charismatic and ambitious teacher. Is Heath trying to help Bel or take advantage of her? In a world of privilege, seduction, and manipulation, only one sister will live to tell the truth.
yeah- i did just briefly this novel on my saturday shout out a few weeks ago
and yeah - i did just feature Ms Campbell a few days ago (back to back actually) but that's all because she is just that DAMN GOOD
seriously - add her to your reading list
and to go into detail about Ms Campbell's writing style equals spoilers, so i will just say PAY ATTENTION when you read and trust NOTHING and EVERYTHING that you do read...HUH???
yeah- if you've read her before you know exactly what i mean!
Rose and Bel are quite the sisters in this novel. and I will say I gravitated to Rose more than Bel for various reasons. also i just couldn't quite forgive Bel for what she does throughout the novel.
there are some serious themes at play here too regarding Bel and Heath.
i really enjoyed this novel - Ms Campbell is perfect if you love Ruth Ware, or Lisa Jewell
