what best selling historical romance author's passing was announced on 12/23 (she actually died in october)? hint: she wrote  Fires of Winter, Gentle Rogue, and Warrior's Woman to name a few 

seriously- i was so sad to hear about this because she was one of the very first ones i read and fell in love with when i was a teen!
