hope to read in the future

welcome book lovers
carpe librum

today "features" a book i hope to read in the (near) feature

actually i already read this back in circa 1985 but i can only remember one point!

and since i've been wanting to read old (and i mean old) contemporary romance filled with  all kinds of crazy sauce dated tropes...

Beautiful, successful Alexis Stone had everything a woman could dream of--money, beautiful clothes, a glamorous job in her father's Dallas oil company, handsome men clamoring for her attention--yet something was missing...until the day she landed her private plane on the sun-scorched desert of the Texas Panhandle and first saw Brant McClure's lean, strong body and brooding, dark-gold eyes.

The moment their eyes locked, Alexis felt a blaze of desire she had never known before. But she had come to fight this rugged, unyielding rancher for the oil rights to his land --the land he loved more than any woman. And her father was a man Brant McClure hated enough to kill.

Alexis knew she possessed a terrible secret weapon that would drive this angry sensual stranger from his land and back to the arms of his sultry-eyed mistress. But she also knew that no power on earth could cool the burning desire that drew them together--a passion that would not be stopped...could not be stopped...no matter how high the stakes!

i'd love hear what you think of my choice or your own future read
